About Me
For the past 14 years, I’ve focused my work in learning and development, designing training that helps people grow skills they can actually apply on the job. I’ve led L&D teams, mentored instructional designers, and collaborated with strategic partners to deliver learning solutions that align with real-world goals.
My experience spans corporate, higher education, and public sector settings, giving me a strong perspective on how to design learning that supports individuals, teams, and organizations at scale.
Projects Spotlight
Here are a few of my favorite projects:
Virtual Training Academy California Department of Public Health; UCSF
Developed a statewide program that trained over 10,000+ displaced workers in contact tracing and case investigation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Launched under tight timelines, the VTA equipped trainees to identify, assess, and mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus in diverse communities.
Affirming Care for LGBTQ+ People Modules UCLA Health
Developed custom training for UCLA healthcare workers across California facilities to foster inclusive and affirming care environments for patients.
Participants practice affirming language and communication techniques through realistic clinical scenarios, qualifying them to earn Upstander badges for their uniforms.
Generative AI Training Guides UCLA Extension
I led the upskilling of the instructional design team and developed two essential resources: “Teach with GenAI” for instructors and “Learn with GenAI” for students.
These initiatives included creating comprehensive knowledge base guides designed to demystify AI, empower educators and learners to harness its potential, and promote responsible AI practices.
Active Shooter Preparedness & Response Course AEGIS Security
Developed an online course to equip civilians and private sector professionals with strategies to prevent, prepare for, and respond to active shooter situations.
The course was paired with a live in-person workshop and was adopted by high-profile venues like the Staples Center (now Crypto.com Arena).
Certified Addiction Counselor Programs NAADAC, CCAPP
Designed national and California-specific online modules to certify alcohol and drug addiction counselors.
Partnered with NAADAC and CCAPP to transition their in-person, proctored certification tests to an online format, enabling participants to complete their Addiction Counseling certification with greater flexibility.
Workplace Harassment Prevention Training California Grocers Association Educational Foundation
Collaborated with HR leaders from Bristol Farms, Vons, Ralphs, and Albertsons to create harassment prevention training in English and Spanish, tailored for employees in the grocery industry.
The course featured practical examples to raise awareness of workplace issues and highlight the legal liabilities tied to harassment in today’s workplace.

Generative AI
Generative AI is part of how I work day to day. I use it to think through ideas, design more efficiently, and build learning and content experiences that are thoughtful, inclusive, and practical. For me, AI isn’t about shortcuts. It’s about asking better questions earlier and making room for stronger outcomes.
I’ve worked with AI tools across text, video, voice, image, music, and interactive design, including:
What matters most to me is how these tools fit into real workflows: supporting course design, content development, storytelling, evaluation, and the learner experience. Used with intention and care, I believe AI can strengthen creativity and decision-making without losing the human center.
